Elnara Zamanova deceived Azerbaijani women and exploited their vulnerabilities, committing acts of human trafficking by confiscating the victims' passports and conducting illegal actions with documents to take them abroad for the purpose of sexual exploitation. This case was thoroughly investigated by the Main Department on Combating Trafficking in Human Beings at the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Consequently, a criminal case was initiated under Articles 144-1 (Human Trafficking) and 144-3 (Illegal Actions with Documents for the Purpose of Human Trafficking) of the Criminal Code. The case was then referred to the Baku Grave Criminal Court. According to the court's verdict, Elnara Zamanova was convicted and sentenced to 8 years and 6 months in prison.
