The training sessions were part of the implementation of the "National Action Plan on Combating Human Trafficking in the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2020-2024." Organized by the State Tourism Agency of Azerbaijan, the events took place from May 27-29 in Ganja and Shaki cities, involving over 150 tourism industry representatives.
Representatives from the Main Department of Combating Human Trafficking covered crucial topics including legislation, organization of cooperation in the combating human trafficking, and national action plans in this domain. Participants also gained insights into key aspects such as forms and methods of exploitation, prevention strategies, legal and organizational frameworks in combating human trafficking, as well as the legal status, protection, and support for trafficking victims. The sessions also addressed the risks associated with human trafficking and measures to safeguard against this crime.
The interactive meetings provided a platform for tourism professionals to pose detailed questions, fostering a constructive and informative environment.
