Awareness raising events were held in educational institutions un Aghdash, Shaki, and Zagatala regions on “Essence of human trafficking, its forms, dangers, posed by it, and fight against it” on September 17-19 with organization of Main Department on Combating Trafficking in Human Beings of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Employees of the Main Department on Combating Trafficking in Human Beings informed participants on main directions and normative legal basis of fight against human trafficking in the Republic of Azerbaijan, forms and ways of exploitation of people, prevention of human trafficking, legal and organizational basis of combating human trafficking, as well as legal situation, defense of victims of human trafficking and provision of assistance to them, dangers posed by human trafficking and protection from the crime in the events held in Aghdash State Humanitarian College, Shaki State Regional College, Zagatala State Management and Technology College.
Discussions were held on the theme. Questions of participants were answered, awareness booklets were presented.
