On April 12, a training session was held at the Training Center of the State Migration Service, organized by the Main Department on Combating Trafficking in Human Beings at the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The event was conducted with the participation of university students and young professionals representing various fields.
The training session was held within the framework of the "Migration School–7" project, with the aim of enhancing students’ and youth participants’ knowledge on migration-related issues, fostering interest in this field, cultivating professional skills, and raising awareness on public administration. Vamig Namendzade, an officer of the Main Department on Combating Trafficking in Human Beings at the Ministry of Internal Affairs, participated in the session as a trainer.
The training was attended by upper-year students and recent graduates specializing in law, political science, international relations, regional studies, oriental studies, public administration, sociology, and related disciplines. Participants were provided with comprehensive information on the national strategy for combating trafficking in human beings, including the development of the relevant legal and institutional frameworks, preventive efforts, criminal prosecution, social rehabilitation and protection of victims of trafficking, as well as other related measures. Questions raised by the participants were thoroughly answered.
