As a result of operational measures conducted by the Main Department on Combating Trafficking in Human Beings at the Ministry of Internal Affairs, N. Sattarova and A. Kalimulina were apprehended on suspicion of subjecting female citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan to sexual exploitation.
A criminal case was initiated, and the investigation was completed. The case materials were subsequently submitted to the court for consideration.
Pursuant to the verdict of the court, both individuals were found guilty under Articles 144-1.2.1, 144-1.2.2, 144-1.2.3, 144-1.2.4-1, 144-1.2.5 (Trafficking in Human Beings), and 144-3.4 of the Criminal Code. N. Sattarova was sentenced to 8 years and 1 month of imprisonment, while A. Kalimulina received a sentence of 8 years and 3 months of imprisonment.
