An educational event on "Combating Human Trafficking" took place at the Shamakhi Regional "ASAN Service" Center of the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Held on 19 October, the event featured representatives from the Main Department on Combating Trafficking in Human Beings at the Ministry of Internal Affairs. They delivered presentations on topics such as "Legislation, Coordination Mechanisms in Combating Human Trafficking, and National Action Plans."
Additionally, they provided detailed insights into the authority and responsibilities of criminal prosecution bodies, particularly the Ministry of Internal Affairs and its structural units, in combating human trafficking. Discussions focused on mechanisms for implementing preventive and protective measures, fostering inter-agency collaboration, addressing future priorities, and proposing solutions.
The event concluded with a Q&A session, during which participants’ questions were thoroughly addressed.
