In the cities of Shamakhi and Khizi, a roundtable discussion titled "Fighting Against Crime" was held. This event was financially supported by the Agency for State Support to NGOs of the Republic of Azerbaijan and organized by the "Women of the XXI Century" Public Union.
Ibrahim Ahmadov, a representative of the Main Department for Combating Trafficking in Human Beings at the Ministry of Internal Affairs, was a speaker at the roundtable, alongside representatives from the Khizi District Executive Power and the chairperson of the "Women of the XXI Century" Public Union.
The speakers addressed the primary directions and normative legal framework for combating human trafficking, discussing the various forms and methods of exploitation, prevention strategies, and the legal and organizational foundations of this effort. They also provided comprehensive information about the legal status of victims, their protection and assistance, as well as the dangers posed by human trafficking and measures to safeguard against these crimes.
At the conclusion of the roundtable, participants’ questions were answered in detail, with thorough explanations provided.
