On April 30, 2024, a training session was held for employees of the State Migration Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan on the topic "Identification of Persons Who Are Victims of Human Trafficking and Forced Labour, Including Migrants. Protection of These Persons, Investigation and Consideration of Such Cases, and Protection of Victims."
Vamig Namandzade, Chief Operations Commissioner of the Main Department on Combating Trafficking in Human Beings at the Ministry of Internal Affairs, served as the trainer. He provided comprehensive information on the following topics: the main directions and normative legal basis of the combating human trafficking in the Republic of Azerbaijan, forms and methods of human exploitation, prevention of human trafficking, legal and organizational foundations of combating human trafficking, as well as the legal status, rights, protection, and assistance for victims of human trafficking. He also highlighted the risks of migrants becoming future victims of human trafficking.
The training session generated significant interest among the participants, and the questions posed by the employees of the migration service were answered in detail.
