Onyebuchi Sopia Ada, a citizen of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, was found guilty of committing human trafficking by deceiving her compatriot woman for the purpose of exploitation. An investigation was conducted by the Main Department on Combating Trafficking in Human Beings at the Ministry of Internal Affairs regarding this incident.
A criminal case was initiated under Article 144-1 (human trafficking) of the Criminal Code, and the circumstances of the case were thoroughly investigated and forwarded to the Baku Grave Crimes Court.
By the decision of the Baku Grave Crimes Court, Onyebuchi Sopia Ada's actions were proven, and she was sentenced to 8 years and 3 months in prison.
