From October 10-11, 2023, the International Center for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD) hosted the Vienna Migration Conference in Vienna, Austria.
Representatives from Azerbaijan's Ministry of Internal Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Office of the Human Rights Commissioner (Ombudsman), and the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Vienna actively participated in the conference.
The event commenced with a welcoming address from ICMPD General Director Michael Spindelegger, who provided an overview of the conference's objectives and proceedings.
Throughout the conference, speakers from various foreign countries and international organizations presented on pertinent topics.
Samir Garayev, head of the division of the Main Department on Combating Trafficking in Human Beings at the Ministry of Internal Affairs, participated at the conference.
The event concluded with the issuance of relevant recommendations. The conference was conducted in a collaborative and professional environment, facilitating productive discussions among participants.
