A training event for representatives of the tourism sector was organized by the State Tourism Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan, as part of the "National Action Plan on Combating Human Trafficking in the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2020-2024." The training took place on October 5-6 and included representatives from hotels, tour operators, and tourism agencies. Police Lieutenant Colonel Vamig Namandzade, the Chief Operations Commissioner of the Main Department on Combating Trafficking in Human Beings at the Ministry of Internal Affairs, participated in the training.

Police Lieutenant Colonel Namandzade delivered a presentation on "Legislation, Coordination of Efforts in Combating Human Trafficking, and National Action Plans in This Field" to representatives from 30 tour operators, 20 hotels, and tourism agencies operating in Azerbaijan.
During the training, participants received comprehensive education on the roles and authorities of criminal prosecution bodies, particularly the Ministry of Internal Affairs and its structural institutions, in combating human trafficking. The session covered the implementation mechanisms of preventive and protective measures, interagency collaboration, and forthcoming challenges along with potential solutions.
The organizers and participants expressed their gratitude for the informative training. The event was conducted in a professional setting, with all participant questions addressed.
