On October 31, the current situation in combating human trafficking in Azerbaijan was discussed as part of the MIEUX+ project, implemented by the International Center for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD) in partnership with the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The discussions took place at the Main Department on Combating Trafficking in Human Beings at the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Participants in the discussions included representatives from the Main Department on Combating Trafficking in Human Beings at the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Anna Melenchuk, the project coordinator, Konul Jafarova, a representative from Poland's Wroclaw University, and Maryam Haji-Ismayilova, a representative of the Delegation of the European Union in the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The meeting was also attended by Alimammad Nuriyev, Chairman of the Public Council under the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Vusala Huseynli, a representative of the "Reforming Women and Innovations" Public Union, and Zaur Ibrahimli, a representative of the Constitutional Research Center.

During the meeting, which was held in a cordial and professional atmosphere, the goals, timelines, and topics to be covered during the implementation of the project were discussed, and suggestions were taken into consideration.
