On October 25, a meeting convened with representatives of the NGO Coalition to Combat Human Trafficking at the Main Department on Combating Trafficking in Human Beings at the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

The meeting was attended by Araz Babayev, the Head of the Division of the Main Department, Vamig Namendzade, the Chief Operations Commissioner, Mahira Amirhuseynova, the Head of the NGO Coalition to Combat Human Trafficking, and 13 representatives of member NGOs of the Coalition.

The primary focus of the meeting was the collaborative implementation of the relevant subsections of the "National Action Plan on Combating Human Trafficking in the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2020-2024" and the examination of the US experience in combating human trafficking by NGOs.

During the event, Mr. Babayev provided comprehensive information on the efforts to combat human trafficking, legislation, and international cooperation. Following this, Mr. Namendzade elaborated on the US experience in NGO-led anti-human trafficking initiatives and addressed inquiries in detail.

Subsequently, M.Amirhuseynova emphasized the importance of raising awareness about the risks of forced Labour. She also detailed the measures undertaken to ensure the continued collaborative utilization of resources from relevant state and non-governmental organizations, international bodies, and other partners.
