From October 10 to 12, 2022, a series of events were held in various regions to implement subsections 4.2 and 4.8 of the Action Plan for the "National Action Plan on Combating Human Trafficking in the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2020-2024." These educational meetings, focusing on "Combating Human Trafficking," were organized for teachers and students of Social and Agrarian-Technological Colleges under Lankaran State University, Masalli State Regional College, and Astara Pedagogical College.
Sohrab Orujov, a representative of the Main Department on Combating Trafficking in Human Beings at the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and Mahira Amirhuseynova, Chairwoman of the "Women of XXI Century" Public Union, participated in the events. The sessions saw the attendance of up to 300 teachers and students. Participants were provided with comprehensive information on the nature and forms of human trafficking, methods for identifying victims, first aid and services available to potential victims, the "Hotline," and other victim identification techniques.
The training sessions garnered significant interest among the participants, who posed numerous questions on the topics discussed, all of which were addressed comprehensively.
