Our Delegation Visited the USA

From September 7 to 17, a delegation from Azerbaijan focused on combating human trafficking visited Washington and Chicago as part of the Open World Visit Program of the US Congress. The delegation comprised representatives from the Main Department on Combating Trafficking in Human Beings at the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Prosecutor General's Office, the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population, and the State Committee for Family, Women, and Children Affairs.

The delegation held meetings with the Department of State, the Congressional Office for International Leadership, representatives from the Administrative Affairs Office of the US Courts, and professors from Illinois and Loyola Universities. Additionally, they engaged in discussions with the assistant of the Senate of the US Congress, law enforcement officers from Chicago's Cook County, and leaders of the "Heartland Alliance" and "Salvation Army" Non-Governmental Organizations.

During the visit, Vamig Namendzade, a representative of the Main Department on Combating Trafficking in Human Beings at the Ministry of Internal Affairs, delivered a lecture on "Legislation in the Field of Combating Human Trafficking" to students at Loyola University in Chicago, Illinois. Following the lecture, he provided detailed answers to numerous questions from the students.
