On July 18 and 19, a meeting on the "Protection of Persons Subjected to Human Trafficking" was convened in Vienna, Austria. This gathering included representatives from 57 OSCE member states, as well as delegates from the United States, the United Kingdom, and Israel. Ayaz Akhundov, the Second Secretary of the Azerbaijani Embassy in Vienna, and Samir Garayev, the Head of the Division of the Main Department on Combating Trafficking in Human Beings at the Ministry of Internal Affairs, represented Azerbaijan at the event.

On the first day of the meeting, Samir Garayev spoke at a session titled "Protection of the Rights of Children Who Are Victims of Human Trafficking." He highlighted that Azerbaijan has adopted the Children's Strategy for 2020-2030 and approved the Action Plan for the implementation of the Children's Strategy for 2020-2025. Samir Garayev also provided information on the special forms of identification and protection of children who are victims of human trafficking.
