On October 7, 2021, the Main Department on Combating Trafficking in Human Beings at the Ministry of Internal Affairs convened a meeting as part of the exchange program for law enforcement agencies implemented by the European Union Agency for Law Enforcement Training (CEPOL) in 2021. Deputy Chief of the Main Department, Police Colonel Samir Zeynalov, and Head of Division, Police Lieutenant Colonel Ramil Kazimov, participated in the meeting. Also in attendance were representatives from the General Organized Crime Department, Police Academy Head, Police Lieutenant Colonel Elchin Orujov, and Georgius Mandalis, an investigator from the Anti-Trafficking Department of the Greek Ministry of Internal Affairs.

During the meeting, Deputy Chief Samir Zeynalov presented on the legal aspects of combating human trafficking in the Republic of Azerbaijan, covering legislation, international cooperation, and principles of punishment and enforcement. He also provided detailed information on mechanisms for identifying trafficking victims, the normative-legal framework, and measures for the rehabilitation, integration, and provision of social, medical, and psychological support to victims.

Georgius Mandalis from the Anti-Trafficking Department of the Greek Ministry of Internal Affairs shared insights into Greece's efforts in combating human trafficking.
